Overview
RTP describes a theoretical long-run return, volatility describes how outcomes are distributed, and maximum win is an advertised upper figure. None predicts an individual's result. Compare these measures using the official document for the specific PG SOFT title.
PG SOFT game documents contain several numbers that describe different parts of a game model. They are useful for comparing published specifications, but none predicts what an individual reader will experience.
Theoretical RTP
Return to player (RTP) is the model’s theoretical share of total stakes paid back as winnings over a very large number of rounds. A published 96.95% RTP does not mean a person will receive 96.95% of a short session’s stakes. Results can vary substantially. Some documents separate main-game and feature contributions; use the overall figure when referring to the whole game.
Session volatility
Volatility describes how outcomes are distributed. A “medium” label in a PG SOFT document is a publisher classification; it is not a promise of smooth returns. Read it alongside the actual game rules rather than treating it as a precise probability.
Advertised maximum win
This is an upper figure expressed as a multiple of the bet. It is not the expected win and says nothing by itself about the chance of reaching it. In the Mahjong Ways 2 PDF, the advertised maximum is 100,000× the bet, while the largest exposure observed in a one-billion-spin simulation is 1,708×. Those are different measures and should not be merged. The Lucky Neko PDF likewise reports a 100,000× advertised maximum and 5,527× simulated exposure.
How to compare titles responsibly
- Verify the exact title in the official catalogue.
- Open the matching game information PDF and check its update date.
- Label each figure exactly as the publisher does.
- Keep availability separate from game specifications. PG SOFT’s company page currently lists Malaysia as a region where services are unavailable.
